What Tisket Is

Tisket (the "Service") is a satire and entertainment platform operated by Jeff Brown ("Tisket," "we," "us"). Users issue novelty citations to other people for trivial social offenses. Tiskets issued via the Service carry no legal force. They are not real fines, not real citations, and not affiliated with any government, agency, court, or law-enforcement body anywhere in the world.

Acceptance

By accessing Tisket — composing, sending, or viewing a Tisket; submitting a response; or merely browsing the site — you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of someone else, you represent that you have authority to bind them. You must be at least 18 years old.

What You Can Do

You may use Tisket to compose and send novelty citations to other adult humans for petty social offenses, to receive citations from others, and to respond to citations using the provided actions (Complete Tasket, Tip, Speak, Plead the 5th, Counter-Cite). Tips are entirely voluntary and irrevocable; see Tips below.

What You Cannot Do

You agree not to use Tisket to:

• Target, harass, threaten, or single out any individual on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age (as identity), body, accent, immigration status, or veteran status;
• Impersonate any real police officer, prosecutor, court, government agency, debt collector, or other person or entity;
• Issue citations to minors, or send citations to anyone you reasonably believe to be under 18;
• Send any content that is illegal, threatens violence, contains sexual content involving minors, dox the recipient (publish home address, financial info, SSN, etc.), or otherwise violates applicable law;
• Use Tisket to extract money, gift cards, crypto, or anything of value from anyone other than via the platform's voluntary Tip mechanism (which sends to Tisket, not to you);
• Attempt to bypass rate-limiting, ID verification, content filters, or moderation;
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or programmatically issue citations without our written permission.

Violations may result in immediate content removal, account restriction, IP block, and — in serious cases — referral to law enforcement.

User Content

Citations, offense text, violator identifiers, Taskets, public statements, reports, and any other text or media you submit ("User Content") remain yours. You grant Tisket a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and create derivative works (for example, OG previews) of User Content for the purpose of operating the Service. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that User Content does not violate any third party's rights.

Tips

Tisket includes a voluntary Bitcoin tipjar that directs all tips to Tisket / Jeff Brown (the platform creator), not to any user who issued a particular Tisket. Tips are entirely optional. Bitcoin tips are irrevocable. Tisket cannot refund or reverse them. If you tip, you do so understanding that finality.

No Legal Force

Tiskets issued via Tisket are not legal instruments. No money is owed. No record is created with any government, agency, court, or law-enforcement body. Issuing officer pseudonyms, badge numbers, and ranks shown on Tiskets are decorative and have no legal status. Visual elements that resemble citations are stylistic only and bear no relationship to any real-world enforcement document.

Moderation & Termination

We may, at our discretion: remove any User Content; suspend or terminate access for any user; cooperate with valid law-enforcement requests, subpoenas, or court orders. We make no commitment to monitor User Content in real time. If you violate these Terms, you may lose access without notice.

No Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tisket and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed $100 USD or the total amount you have tipped Tisket in the prior twelve months, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tisket and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, or damages (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) User Content you submitted, (b) your misuse of the Service, or (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
